ideas? we need some ideas of things for her to do and I didnt wanna put this in chit chat, i need actual help.
Singing is always a idea but what are some good songs to sing, shes not exactly kelly clarkson.
also they have the chance to carry a male on stage for like swing and shag or salsa dancing, anyone know where i can learn real quick what to do?
show is in September, just need some ideas of what would go over well, thanks guys its for a lady friend and she greatly appreciates it. 7/24/2006 10:44:35 PM |

does she have any actual talent? also, don't learn to dance. leave that to professionals- what competition is this or what level is she competing on? (if this is a Wayne County pageant, disregard any thing I've said and just go with it)

haha not wayne county, its in Greenville, not sure of the name of it though...nothing like a miss USA thing or even qualifying, it would be like the equivalent of queen of the fair.
she used to play violin and i am trying to convince her to do that...but its been a few years. She can sing but its average, nothing spectacular, really lookin something to wake em up and be like WOW, nice.

i'd say to stay away from singing if she's not great. seems like that's what most people try to do 7/24/2006 11:09:08 PM |

The violin sounds kick ass. She can start practicing again and get that shit back to where she feels good about it.
However, if it's a super trashy pageant, I don't know how the violin will go over. Dancing would be better in that situation. 7/25/2006 12:50:03 AM |

In a super trashy pageant, you start playing double stops and the violin becomes a fiddle. 7/25/2006 12:51:33 AM |

if it's in Greenville, she should be able to strip and be okay.
seriously...I would think performance art would go over well. Tell her to pick a good song for the violin and work her ass off perfecting it for the next few weeks. Anybody can sing, but playing a musical instrument takes a bit more. 7/25/2006 9:58:19 AM |

Okay, I'm actually a pageant girl, and definitely don't let her sing if she's not great. She won't get any points for effort. The violin sounds great. Have her pick a slow, pretty song and that way it's going to be gorgeous even if it's not technically hard. And not many people bring a violin on stage at a pageant, so she'll be admired for creativity. Good luck to her! 7/25/2006 10:18:06 AM |

sleik already covered that part Wraith but good lookin out
by the way you owe me some $ for finding that woman that ducked out on your rent, woman was hard to find and locate.
thanks guys i think the violin part may be the best bet for her as well, anyone play violin that may know a good selection that sounds hard but is easy?
and yea to make it a fiddle the bridge is completely different, most people dont know that though and think its just how you play it. 7/25/2006 4:18:02 PM |

She could try magic tricks. It is creative and unusual to see in a pageant, and she can make it a comedy thing too. Lots of stage magic uses trick props rather than slight of hand, so they are easier to learn and require less practice. She can even set it to music if she's feeling ambitious. 7/25/2006 4:31:58 PM |

Just win it like a wet t-shirt contest, first to take it off wins.
Unless she's flat...then stick with the violin. 7/25/2006 7:24:50 PM |
