'92 Civic, driver's window is derailed. Lifter still works, but it's a bitch to actually close the window. I hear that it's a real simple fix, just time consuming (to open up the door and all). Anyone? 7/26/2006 2:01:08 PM |

its not really even time consuming... just figure out how to get your door panel off without breaking any (many) of the connectors and then fiddle with the mechanism a bit. you should be able to see how it fits together 7/26/2006 2:12:53 PM |

OK, so it's not especially difficult?
Any tools I'll need other than, like, phillips driver and pliers? 7/26/2006 2:14:48 PM |

i really don't know what honda uses for door clips but you might want the tool for them its basically just a flat piece of metal with a grove cut in it 7/26/2006 2:17:25 PM |

you'll need something like this:
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=65934&group_ID=16963&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog
you obviously do not need to get the snap-on version. sears should have one in the tool section. advance/auto zone/pep boys/napa/carquest may also have something similar. 7/26/2006 2:23:35 PM |

OK.
Anyone have one I can borrow, or do I need to make a shopping run?
