i get up at 5:30, leave the house around 6:30, and don't come back home until 8:30 or 9 at night. i feel so bad leaving my poor kitty, hedwig alone for all of that time, i bet he gets so bored and lonely. i buy him cat toys, but catnip mice and shit on bungee cords can only be so entertaining. he's a smart little guy and needs some mental stimulation. are there any kitty toys i can buy or make that will keep him occupied? i was thinking maybe of getting an aquarium and a few fish and putting a good lid on it and putting it in the floor for him to look at, but is there anything else? he has the stuff on bouncy cords, he has a puff ball on a spring type thing, a billion catnip mice, and other little crap like that. any ideas appreciated!
he says thank you for any ideas 7/28/2006 4:04:46 PM |

hehe i already have other (non-fish) pets, i really don't want a zoo... plus i don't want to have 2 vet bills instead of one. 7/28/2006 4:47:57 PM |

If you have an indoor cat that has NEVER been to the vet, then your cat probably has worms. And that's just gross.
My family has had indoor kitties that did not go to the vet very often, but they at least got all of their initial vaccines, worming, and a rabies shot every few years. 7/28/2006 5:17:41 PM |

^at this stage, I'd consider it in your best interest and ours to hand each of them a loaded gun and say, "y'all are a couple of stupid, cheap, goddam niggers."

My cat is the same way, seapunky. I tried getting another cat for him to play with and he hated having another pet in the house. I feel so sorry for him when I'm gone for a long period of time. If you find out about any good toys, let me know and I'll do the same. 7/28/2006 5:25:12 PM |

I'm really confused why you got an animal that you can't afford and don't have time for. 7/28/2006 5:28:43 PM |
