OK....let me break this down for you becuase you clearly have no understanding of the gaming industry.

the CONVENTION served as an arbitrary number of days that developers work to get ready demo's and presentations for. without the largest CONVENTION, there is no reason why developers will plan around one arbitrary date. the coverage and release of gaming information would never be the same. information will be released at different times at the discretion of the developers.

these are things MOST PEOPLE know. now you know it too.

Fuck, who cares about e3, there's only a minimal amount of games that are worthy of anyones time , and most people have probably heard of them if they're attending e3, and as far as I've seen it, e3's a really expensive once per year arcade.

And, if esa fails to organize an event, someone else will, it's a profit making market for advertisements.
