Got a question

I'm talking to (hollering at) this european girl I met the other night. She is smart and attractive, but she smokes (like basically every other european woman). Now I am allergic to smoke. I have no idea how to handle this as I have previously just completely avoided women who smoke.

any suggestions would be appreciated

encourage her to use gum, breath mints, etc...if you can't get past the taste then I'd say it's a deal breaker, as far as when she's smoking, just ask her to go outside away from you or something

Yeah, my moms is allergic to smoke so I don't smoke around her.

Just tell her you're allergic. If she's like me, she'll probably laugh at you and call you a bitch. If she's actually a decent human being, she won't do it around you.

And, oh yeah, don't get all pissed if she takes a dozen smoke breaks outside and leaves you inside. If she wants to smoke, let her.

Well, allergy medicine has worked for me if I've gone to a gun show or fair or something.

Cigarette/cigar smoke makes my throat close up pretty bad, but I'm not completely incapacitated by it. Drink water and try allergy medicine. At the very least you might not die, right?

This reminds me of a similar situation I was in once. I told my friend that I liked this girl but I didn't like the smoking. He said, "Shit, I don't care if she's blowin' smoke rings outta her asshole, as long as she's puttin' out!" As you can see, there are two distinct camps on this issue: those for whom smoking is not a problem and those for whom it is a deal breaker--and never the twain shall meet. I'm in the latter camp; you just have to decide where you are on the smoking issue, BoobsR_gr8.
