TWW did well a while ago-- time to have the great minds convene once again.

Buying for a guy, btw.

Thanks.

Sometimes I wonder if some girls get off on the knowledge that as soon as they post something like this that explicit sexual statements will be thrown in their direction.

Ummm...gift idea.....stop pandering on the forums to all us net pervs?

Actually, if it really persuades you he might appreciate it, so carry on.

Pretty large price range....

The reason I made another thread is because of how well this one turned out:

http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=392844

And this one:

http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=420879

I got a lot of great ideas from that thread so now I appreciate TWW and its infinite wisdom.

Since you did not post what his interests are everyone assumed sex and replied accordingly.

If you are looking for a legitimate response how about posting some information about him.

Sorry-- I just need random ideas...

I mean... okay so he's interested in bowling and has 234907130597 bowling balls and everything he needs for a million years...

Same goes for pool...

Has tons of clothes... Although I am going to get him some more.

I was thinking about getting the windows tinted on his '05 Mustang because he has been talking about that...

If I knew this stuff, I wouldn't be asking TWW for help. haha

What about girls who buy nice dinners just as much?

In any case, why are you guys so hard to shop for?

Girls are easy. I always have so much trouble w/ this shit.

you need a lesson in managing expectations

Girls are not easy to shop for at all, they want you to put all kinds of thought and shit in to what you buy.

Guys are happy with any stereotypical gift that they can put to some sort of use.

brandi you really have lost it. i was afraid your dad's influence would get the best of you eventually.

and we guys are not hard to shop for. as above mentioned, any dvd we don't have, video games blah blah
a nice nifty watch, stuff for the car (like the tinted windows idea), etc etc

biggest thing is get us somethin we can keep... (i.e. food is great but the gift is gone in minutes, we don't like flowers... at least i dont. )

Haha I do well enough at poker... Haven't had too much time for cash games lately, although I keep my hand dipped in a few online.

Lately, I have been making a lot of money buying and reselling on craigslist... so yes- not too worried about the moola.

6 month anniversary presents are for jr. high schoolers and fantasy book enthusiasts.

im sorry brandi, but i'd be rather creeped out.

in fact, that might be a breaking point.

You could give him half of something and tell him he gets the other half in another six months....

it's like renting with the option to buy.

Oh hey Ben. I buy presents all the time. He's very spoiled. I buy presents for friends and family all the time too. I think it's so much fun.

So call me a middle schooler, but I'm going to have fun.

Haha You have a point.

Although it's only been for a Birthday and a six month anniversary that I've needed ideas.

I have like a billion ideas anyway- just wanted to see if there were any more creative...

BTW, let me know if you are playing in any cash games soon. I may come w/- I miss it.

the best 6 month anniversary present for a guy is to not try to make half a year an anniversary

-Shirt
-Engraved silver cuff links
-Handblown candle holders (masculine) and candles
-Boxers
-Tie
-Five things from Priscilla's
-Dinner and drinks for the evening

And I can't remember what else... It was in April.

This is the first guy I have ever bought this many presents for.

He just makes me really happy. I like to buy things in general, so why not buy things for him when I see something he will like?

You're an interesting character Mr. OmarBadu especially coming in this thread saying things when you know I know things about why you date or don't date people.

I give up. Okay so don't give me ideas. That's fine.

I'm tired of trying to validate why I want to buy someone I love presents because I have spent six months w/ them and they make me feel great.

Oh well.

may as well get him a t-shirt wiht a blown up picture of your face.
then one for you of his.

then you could walk around the malls together holding hands and gawking at christmas ornaments in september.

thats what 6 month "anniversary" presents mean about a relationship.

gag a maggot.

i'm sorry brandi.

Maybe if you would just drop the six month landmark you'd get more mileage out of this thread. It sounds a lot more genuine when you say "Give me some ideas on what I can buy for my man for no speical reason other than I just really like him and want to drop some change"

rather than

"I buy into all the usual hype about diamonds (via debeers) and meaningless days and all that shit and want to buy something for our 1 month anniversary"

Because that is how a 6 Month Anniversary comes off. We aren't in third grade where 6 months takes like 3 years to pass by. We're grown up now. Just buy him some shit because you want to, not because it is tied to any specific and for the most part meaningless date.
