Is it me or is there a complete lack of shops that can do quality custom car fabrication work in the greater Raleigh area (or all of NC for that matter)? IE: installation of screens in headrests, doors, you know, that Pimp My Ride shit. I've had a couple of shops mentioned to me, but they seem really sketchy.

I think you might want to check local car forums (besides tww) for this one. A lot of people seem to do this sort of work together rather then go to a shop in the triangle.

dude I know several of the car audio guys at Circuit City on Glenwood. They do tv screens etc. all the time, if that's the kind of fabrication you're looking for.

That's not fabrication...that's NIGRIFICATION.

Fabrication involves metal. Torches. Welders. Grinders. Plasma Cutters. Shears. Brakes. Notchers. Flangers. And an artistic touch.

There's nothing artistic about video screens. Everything under the sun has video screens now. Hell, I bet yo mama pussy got a built-in DVD player.

I do custom work for C.A.R. Audio and Security in Wake Forest....
some of the lastest we have done:

And just finished putting a double din Pioneer Z1 in a BMW 3 series with AC relocation to the factory pocket... I havent gotten pictures yet but the dash pretty much looked like this but had the factory radio

most shops like this look sketchy as hell from the outside. yes, that includes westcoast customs (of "pimp my ride" fame).

the only quality shop i know of is "rhudy's" down here in fayetteville. half the the place is a typical pawn shop. the other half is a dank car audio shop. you can get your basic audio equipment to the top-notch pro comp shit there. they also do some of the best installs, like what you see on all the tv shows.

I didnt do the last install just a visual for what I had to do to make a double din TV fit... if you read above the picture you would have realized this....
