The VM Motori engines are supposed to be damn awesome.
I think it's about fucking time we began to see small/midsize trucks and SUVs with a diesel option. Everybody else in the goddam world has 'em; why the fuck can't we?

I think it gets 23mpg that 2 more miles then they hemi.

It's actually made by VM Motori in Italy, which used to be owned by Detroit Diesel (which is now owned wholly by DaimlerChrysler). Penske bought into VM Motori, so now it's co-owned by DC and Penske.
I'll be fucked. It is a Mercedes engine. I read up on it some more.
