i have a rather large stain in my car from an ink cartridge...i had a few spots on some clothing after we moved the plotter out of my car that i was able to remove with dryel's stain removal...but i'm not sure if this will take out the stain in my car since it's so large and since the instructions with dryel you put that piece of cloth under that absorbs the stain and i obviously can't do that with carpet in my car
SO...suggestions...options? 8/6/2006 10:12:43 PM |

what the fuck is a plotter?
my only suggestion is to douse the stuff in hairspray, and blot, blot, blot. from experience (rain + paper printed on an inkjet = runs), the ink is water-soluble.
before you go the hairspray route, try blotting it with just water.
you should be using a towel, another on top, and a weight on top of that.

that's what i thought of, but i figured it was unlikely that was it >.<
try water, just in case the ink is water-soluble, which i highly doubt, and then try hairspray. after that...? 8/7/2006 10:56:25 AM |

Your best bet is to use something that cleans then come behind and try using a color removing checmical like oxyclean that doesn't affect color set fabrics (car fabrics etc). 8/7/2006 11:54:11 AM |
