Anyone know where I could get some Z rated tires put on if I bought them on the internet? Places like Merchant's and Goodyear said they won't put them on, even for a high fee, because its not "their tire." I can save like $200+ by buying tires off tirerack.com, but I can't find anyone to put them on if I were to buy them. Walmart normally does for ~$15/tire, but they can't do Z rated tires because they are so tight on the wheel......any help 8/9/2006 9:54:49 AM |

I hate walmart and all there fucking excuses for just being shitty technicians. I had them put on a set of 245/70/16's (stock size) on a grand cherokee once, and the guy wouldn't do it ("they're too big, it'll heat up your transfer case too much"). I had to show him on the Jeep website they were the stock size.
They are also slow as shit. 6 hours, 4 tires to mount and balance, two cars in the shop, 4 technicians.

Any place should be able to use/ have stick on weights. If you are worried they may use others, just specify what you want. 8/9/2006 10:53:38 AM |
