The worst were the people who left Canes/Devils Game 2 during the last minute and missed Eric Staal scoring the game tying goal with three seconds left.

^Because they don't have lives.

How come the Clemson game last year in football was the only time people had those excuses?

Surely it wasn't because we were getting our asses kicked.

Well during the clemson game, when our team was getting dominated in all aspects of the game, I understood people leaving even though I stayed. Its stupid for people to leave early when your team still has a decent chance to win though.

the best game ever was when state soccer tied unc with .8 seconds left in the game after unc scored with 10 seconds left. game ended in a tie but it was damned awesome anyways.

who cares, if people want to leave, whats the big deal? I wish sometimes I would've just walked out of a game instead of waiting to the last agonizing minute... especially with any Carolina loss

Yeah, I was there for that one. I see people doing that shit all the time in hockey even in one goal games or games where they are tied. Probably the same people that miss 90% of a period just so they don't have to stand in line to get beer.

hey man, if my team comes to play, i come to watch, we didnt come to play that game, so i dont stay to watch us then...

the unc basketball game we got beat up as well... yet, it SEEMED we came to play cause we were firing early in the game. and then unc just plastered us....... but i stayed til the buzzer

my point... there are exceptions

wouldn't the beer line be shorter during a period, therefore ensuring that the person gets back to their seats within 8 minutes instead of the 30 it takes at the half?

sorry, but im a firm believer in never leaving early...

i sat in my seat for 20 minutes after Chris paul hit that shot
.... 40 minutes after we lost to UNC by a bajillion points last year
........until everyone was out of the dean dome last year after we gave up 13points
.........every single home game of the panthers 1-15 season, including the home finale against New England in the rain

the list goes on

its simple philosophy.

true fans stay through it all, i like to think of myself as 1.

(that sounded like Belushi in Animal House)

hence why 50% of our fanbase is terrible.

You would think so, but I don't know what else would cause them to come back so late into the period.

I really hope that "half" part was just a slipup...

I think there's a huge difference between sticking out a tight game just in case of a miracle and hitting the bricks with 4 minutes to go when the team is down by a lot.

There's also a difference between leaving a blowout early and leaving a blowout waaay early.

I never ever leave early...and I left the Clemson game early b/c I needed to take my medication...which consisted of about 20 beers.

Im so glad I didnt leave that night, but I never leave early, I paid for the seat and dammit im going to stay till the end! But that just further reinforced in my mind that A. anything is possible in hockey and B. NEVER leave

right on

I dont leave early as a rule, but there have been exceptions with hangovers involved ...combined with severe blowouts where I have left early.
