^lol. On another note, you don't have to step on the clutch to start on my BMW. I thought all manual cars requiring stepping on the clutch before starting it.

there are clutch override switches on toyota trucks that i know of, and if you pull a fuse in my jeep you can start it w/o the clutch.

older cars usually you don't have to press the clutch, it's just a safety feature so you don't starter drive ur shit into the car/whatever is in front of you. that's why they don't sell remote starts for manuals. you can make them work though, i think it might be illegal?

id put a microswitch or two on the shifter to disable it if it is in gear if you get rid of the clutch switch

You can totally do it.
But why waste your money on that type of bullshit?

It will cease to be cool after 3 weeks anyway.

I remember one "garage meet" a few years ago at Vincents. A guy in a blue M3 (Not on tww) came up. He had a remote start and a bunch of damn stickers all over his car. I think Ahmet was there in his silver 951. Anyway, all the remote start did was make the car seem even more riced out.

(It was a manual as well iirc)

I just don't like the idea of my car idling unattended. I know most remote starts won't allow a thief to drive away in it, but if there's a problem and you're not there to monitor it you'll be SOL.

What happens if you lose oil pressure or the car overheats? Seems like a bad idea IMO.
