I know. It's so stupid. Side by side elements in a political ad are obviously not intended to be compared with one another. And Matt "HILLARY COMPARED TO BIN LADEN IN SENATE AD..." Drudge is so liberal it makes me sick.

You could just as easily have said "omg this commercial compares the NSA to Osama Bin Laden!!1," since it's emblem appears in the same spot just before Clinton. But then, her picture doesn't just fade into existence. If you watch the ad, the NSA emblem rotates to reveal her picture and OBL remains.

Get it?

She's on the opposite side of your national security.

And while she's on screen, you get to see read above their pictures that she even opposes the Patriot Act (which she voted for) and NSA programs.

Just like Osama Bin Laden.

My, these two have a lot in common. Why does she always represent Bin Laden's interests? Is she Osama Bin Laden's senator, or is she New Yorkers'?

In proper parlance, one would call that trick a visual "link" and not a "comparison;" as in "SENATE AD SUGGESTS LINK BETWEEN HILLARY AND BIN LADEN...".
