9mm (9x19), holds 7+1. Very light trigger (some may like this (I do), some may not). 3.5” barrel. Comes with hard case, two magazines, and manual.
Bred for concealed carry, but a great gun just for protecting the home as well. Fires well; I’ve personally put 200 rounds through it, although I bought it used, so it has likely seen more than that. Clean extraction. Kept well cleaned and oiled.
Now, for the inevitable “why are you selling it?” The gun is light and as such has some kick to it. I want something heavier. So, I'm thinking about selling this one to fund that adventure.
Would want $500; any interest?
(PS. If I sell, buyer absolutely must have a permit to purchase a handgun or a CCP. Information can be found here: http://rtpnet.org/~wcso/pistol.html)

well... yeah
I wouldn't piss on a S&W auto if it was on fire
but their revolvers are some of the finest made8/16/2006 9:43:45 AM |

S&W revolvers are awesome. Their autos leave something to be desired, particularly after they blatently copied Glock on thier junky Sigmas. And got sued for it, and had to change the Sigmas.
Walther? Eh, good guns, but not as great as they used to be before Interarms and S&W took em over here in the states. I had a PPK years ago that loved to bite my hand with the slide.

I've shot a walther p22 with a suppressor though
that was cool and it performed well, I'm just not much on s&w autos... I own a few and they suck 8/16/2006 9:48:32 AM |

to each his own.
Of all the differnt handguns i shot, I was most impressed with the SW99. I have the .40 cal so its a little bigger than I would like, but thats why it stays in my night stand 8/16/2006 9:50:58 AM |

Probably would go for full size; if I remember right, the compact was a bit too short for my hand. It wasn't comfy.
I got the Kahr b/c it was small for CC, but I realized it would still be pretty hard to hide about my person (I'm a somewhat slight girl and my clothes do not promote hiding things); so I would just as soon get a Glock, as they're heavier and easier to shoot.
And perhaps a couple of rifles with whatever is left over 8/16/2006 10:05:34 AM |

I'd say that my .357 sig is a hot load in a glock, it's got quite a bit of recoil to it compared to other glocks I've shot(.40, 9mm, .45)
I'd check out the Glcok 30 too (great carry gun)
but a G22 would be a good choice too 8/16/2006 10:27:46 AM |

if u want a great gun go for a Sig. that was the first pistol i ever bought (someone had given me a .25 acp) any way the Sig is still my favorite pistol. i've shot a lot of different gun every thing from Springfield 1911's and xd's, glocks full size and compact, h&k's, desert eagle .50 Saturday night specials and a bunch of other stuff. I still love my Sig. after I got my Sig my dad made me start lookin for him one. 8/16/2006 11:23:05 AM |

^^ also might want to check out the 36 its a single stack mag so it's not as thick. might be better for a female, u could get a better grip. it's also easier to conceal 8/16/2006 11:26:42 AM |

I've heard good things about sigs, but aren't they a bit pricey? I know they are well liked among some law enforcement and security agencies... 8/16/2006 11:27:13 AM |

i have the 30, it's a double stack 45 and it fills up my hand. i know some guys that say it's to big for them. i was just sayin that the 36 is a slimmer gun, it's a single stack. it's still a 45 but it's just not as thick. 8/16/2006 11:55:57 AM |

I thought about making a joke about girls hands being made to handle thick things, but I decided against it 8/16/2006 12:02:46 PM |

30 does have a wide grip, but it is heavy, very low recoil for what it is
if you can handle wide things then go for it
I wish I had never sold mine
but I did keep my 31 and love it
anyone have a chiefs special or detectives special they want to sell?

Uhh...the S&W99 is manufactured by Walther.
jlphipps, have you considered getting some rubber wraparound grips? I hear they do wonders for the controllability of Kahrs.
For that matter, have you considered an MK9? They're heavier (metal frames), but functionally identical. 8/16/2006 2:26:08 PM |
