hey they said Chuck Amato was doing a good job. at least they gave our coach some props and didn't trash the State fanbase, and talked more about those in the media doing the connect the dots assumptions.

Chuck didn't initially recruit Rivers, but he had to re-recruit Rivers to make sure he didn't decommit. i think i remember Rivers mentioning that Chuck "recruited" him harder than MOC when he got the job, so that he could keep him committed. so everyone stop with this trivial BS that Amato didn't "recruit" Rivers. Chuck did a great job in getting recruits to stay committed.

From what I have read, Philip only had 1 other offer, and that was to play tight end.

I don't really think Chuck had to try too hard to keep him considering he wanted to play QB in college.

All credit for spotting the talent goes to MOC, the recruiting wasn't a big deal with Rivers, any big time program could have gotten him probably.

gg PTI. statistically, Chuck's got the best record in his first 6 years than any other coach we've had. there's a book I checked out from the public library about the history of NCSU football (it was written in the early nineties, I think? it's pretty pathetic guys.
