Who is watching this season, its gonna be the best one yet hands down

hopefulyl they bring back some challenges, and they did away with the team/coach format and everyone is just gonna be coached by Randy Couture and Georges St. Pierre

i cant wait for these episodes, its gonna be a massive payoff for the UFC to sign most of these fighters

And they flip coins to determine which team picks the fights, and they have to win to maintain control of the choices

Based on what they showed of the training, it looked like Shonie was gonna get rocked. But the dude is like a freakin spider monkey, he got out of every submission he was put in. Definitely deserved the win.

I like the format, it's good to see guys that have already paid their dues get a shot.

Matt Cerra will hopefully get a chance no matter what happens during the show, I love the way he manned up and became a solid leader

can someone give some details on what happened in the carter/clementi fight the last 4 minutes or so. my dvr cut off at 11 and i missed the ending... i know carter won, but i'm interested in how.

see if i can remember this

it was mostly on the ground, clementi took carter down, after awhile carter reversed it and worked on his ribs from inside the guard...if i remember correctly he passed the guard and got side control

in the last minute they got up and were swingin for the fences until the horn, carter got the better of those exchanges

nothing really ground breaking happened, carter just controlled the fight and got his win

they showed clementi cryin and what not and shonie gettin love from his team, dana white commended matt cerra more than he commended shonie cuz matt cerra was an excellent corner man

That may have been the bloodiest UFC fight I've ever seen.

By the end they were literally sliding around the mat on blood.

It was pretty badass.

Gideon Ray and Edwin DeWees

Edwin Dewees is a fucking bad ass im calling it right now, he was 0-2 in the UFC with losses to freakin Rich Franklin (which he actually didnt look bad in) and Chris Leben (which he sloppily found himself in a freak armbar) tough as a goddamn dining hall steak and I am amazed he was still able to dominate the fight despite losing so much blood

I dont think the fight should have went to a third round, Edwin clearly dominated Gideon....it was only the blood from one elbow that Gideon threw that made it seem as if he was taking a beating..i was getting increasingly pissed each time they had a timeout because they were probably gonna stop the fight and that would be fucking pathetic since Edwin was clearly dominant...thank God the doctor let them go at it.

Gideon had some serious chances to one hitter-quitter Edwin, but he seemed to over estimate edwin's height or something, missing a sweet spinning backfist high and a NASTY roundhouse kick he also missed high, Edwin immediately took him down after each of the misses and punished him

I definitely think this dude could legitimately challenge for the title (though i do not see him defeating Rich Franklin itll be a good fight)

O yea, losers get to stay in the house, which initially disappointed me but its going to keep the finalists sharp and well trained

O yea....how about when Shonie Carter played the hell out of that one during selections...that was fucking HILARIOUS..damn i love some shonie

It was very one sided when I started watching this fight at the second round. Besides the cut he put on Edwin, Gideon was pretty useless. He looked extremely tired and did not take much action at all. Besides all the blood spewing from Edwin's forehead...it was a boring finish.

Agreed.
It didn't even look like he was taking a beating in my eyes though...It just made him look badass.

At the end Gideon said the ref should have stopped the fight because of the blood. I'm sure he would've liked the free win, but he was getting worked the whole fight. I'm glad Edwin got to stay in it.

I think Dewees controlled the fight but I dont think he did much damage. Gideon landed the biggest hits of the fight when he jumped into Dewees guard twice from the standing position, but Dewees should have won.

I was on the edge only because of the massive amounts of blood spewing. If Dewees wasnt busted open it would have been a very boring fight. I hate ground and pounders when theres no damage being done.

nah man dewees was definitely fuckin his head up

i like to see more fights on the ground even if no damage is being done (i.e. no layin and prayin) i like seein guys etup up holds and setting up defense, countering, passing guard, sweeping, attempting to neutralize cuz it shows a complete fight IMO

I watch/dvr it every week. The Serra/Carter match was great, but Drago/Luter was just plain boring. Hopefully this week's episode will pick up the slack.

yo i missed a few episode...anyway i could see some of them

i missed the Shonie/Serra fight and I missed the episode in which Chuck Liddell came to visit

^^^hell nah, this season hasnt been very good in terms of show, but thereve been amazing fights

this would have been a great opportunity to show more training and less crap, since the teams are self coached...i think Dana White dropped the ball with this season it could have been really awesome

No one on this show will beat Anderson Silva, and i dont think anyone will beat GEORGES ST. PIERRE (yea i said it)...my reasoning is because none of the guys have fixed their glaring faults and weaknesses, theyve all fucking lived and died by the shit that aint work the first go round in the UFC

Pete Spratt is the biggest example of this, just pathetic that his ground game aint improve one fucking bit, i think there is too much pride in these veteran fighters to change or see their weaknesses

i thought this was going to be the best season so far and it has not been at all.
at least the fights are better but that is not saying too much

matt serra gets on my nerves

Luter is such a boring fighter. Yeah, he controlled the match, but he didn't really do any damage it seemed. He just laid there half the time and the other half he threw half hearted elbows and punches that didn't really hurt drago. I was excited to see him fight because I figured with his BJJ expertise I would get to see some submission attempts but there was only one straight armbar that he even tried.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. These guys are just training in the stuff that they already know very well. And Shonie is a decent fighter, but even he talks like he only has one move to win a fight (spinning back fist.) This would have been a good time for him to strengthen some of his other skills.

it seems like their egos really get in the way from some of them learning new moves and techniques from other more accomplished fighters. like how they made fun of franklin (even though he did just get man handled), and how serra talked shit about hughes. everyone knows that hughes is a cocky fuckhead.

Good fights.

I was pulling for Serra, but I didn't really think he would pull it off.

Bam Bam has some growing up to do. No real surprises there. I think he's doing well for his age.

Sucks for Cote.
