I was told that the dept is phasing out this course as a requirement and/or prerequisite for ECE 206 & ECE 220. Does anyone know any more information, such as what the new class will be & other important information?

I heard they just want to split it off and have the 116 216 316 line be taught to EE students by their own department (this is from the last state of the dept. meeting last year), however as of that date there werent ay real details other than "it's going to happen".

Right now the requirements look like they are still the same. It will take a new degree key + some other fun paperwork before this happens. I wouldn't expect anything until next fall at the earliest. Probably best to talk to the ECE ungrad advisor for some definites.

Starting in Spring 2007, ECE students will take ECE109 instead of CSC116.
This comes from their advisor, Ms. Townsend. It will be a C based class.

There will then be a 3 class series that replaces CSC116, CSC216, CSC316.
