Large pink and green hammer (a bit larger than a male's fist) and purple pulsing xenia (about 5cm long). Both are in excellent condition, very healthy and happy, I just want out of corals. I'll post pictures after my class tonight. Make an offer. 8/24/2006 3:46:42 PM |

All the corals went to sleep, so I'll take their pics tomorrow when they're all pretty and "awake." 8/24/2006 10:06:17 PM |

hmm. tempting, but as you can see I have no more room
As for prices, $5 for the xenia and prolly around $15-30 for the hammer would be my guess. 8/25/2006 8:35:52 PM |

^Ahh...no. They go for a lot more than that at the store, and they've grown since I've had them and are extremely healthy. I want $25 for the xenia (there's actually 2, it split off) and $50 for the hammer. Which is still less than you'd pay at the store.
Oh, and no they don't die if you touch them, they just shrivel up and hide and then pop back up later.

good luck selling them at those prices then. I dunno who told you those prices, but they were wrong.

You dont enjoy the 400-600% markup that they do. We wouldnt give anymore than a buck or 2 credit at fish world when I was manager there for regular brown xenia, hell I used to bring in my own for free cause it grows like weeds. Xenia frags (yours is frag size) like yours go for $5 and a hammer like yours might go for $40-50.
For instances, heres a hammer with almost 4 times as many heads on it for $60 online:

Heres a 6 header for $15

$5 for the xenia and $15-30 for the hammer is more than reasonable, good luck selling them on here even at those prices though, I think your target audience is like 5 people.8/26/2006 4:44:25 AM |

^Depends on the type. Mine isn't brown.
The object here is much the same as someone selling textbooks. I'm offering them for less than you would get them at a reputable pet store, but more than I would get for selling them back.
^^If you pay that for corals I want to know where the hell you go. My hammer is gorgeous and looks bigger than the one in that picture, I took the pic when he wasn't fully expanded.
Oh, and the xenia is 5in, not 5cm. >.<
