if by almost lost, you mean Duke having to try and kick like a 60-some yard field goal that they missed. the ball hooked and landed at like the 18 yard line if i remember correctly. i was sitting in the SEZ for that game.

i was sitting in the student section.

we played gt, maryland, and virginia after the duke game. i don't remember the sequence, but i remember duke giving the blueprint for how to beat us and the rest of them doing it.

yeah i know. i remember thinking holy crap this would suck if this guy hit it. when i saw it start to hook and knew it didn't have enough distance, i began thinking to myself, why was i so worried, b/c it was pretty much an impossible kick.

If I remember correctly, the Duke kicker had hit a couple of 50+ yarders with room to spare, which is why people were worried.
