setup direct deposit. ur bank won't put a hold on it and it's sent out the first day of classes.

direct deposit showed up in my bank account on Monday. much better than waiting for a check in the mail.

Call Financial Aid on Monday. They should be able to get you a definite date. If you are put on hold, put on speakerphone and wait 15-20 minutes. And yes, setup direct deposit instead of having checks mailed. Lot less hassle for everybody IF something were to happen.

Financial Aid doesn't handle refund checks. Cashier's office does. Call them 515-2986.

I'm still waiting on my financial aid check (not a refund).

Apparently, my lender needs me to sign the check first and the Cashier's office sent it out on the 17th and I've yet to see it.

I need some textbooks...

Also, you can charge your books to an account with the bookstore with a copy of your award letter. Then you can pay for your books once your check arrives.
