the bookstore for 2 reasons:

1. loaner laptop program - if your computer breaks and needs to be sent off to be repaired, you will get (depending on availability) a loander laptop from the bookstore for the duration your's is being fixed.

2. prices are much better through the bookstore due to the educational discounting set up through IBM/Lenovo.

the convenience if something goes wrong with the laptop makes it worth getting it through the bookstore

The bookstore won't charge you any shipping either. Also, if you notice lenovo is running a particularly good deal on their site that makes somethng even close to what the bookstore offers, tell the staff and Randy Davis about it. Last time a customer let us know lenovo was running a sale that made some laptops within 200 bucks of what we offered, we complained to the rep and were able to drop all of our laptop prices by around 100 bucks.
