Desktop PC i built last december for sale. Cost over $1600 to build brand new then. I've done all the homework for you and posted the current part prices from newegg up to date as of yesterday. It can handle any intense graphical program or game out there. I play BF2 at 1600x1200 with 2X-AA and high everything in the graphics and sound settings and get great frame rates.
Lian Li PC-60APlus Silver Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $125.00
XFX Geforce 7800GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card $289.00
ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard $129.00
OCZ PowerStream 520W Power Supply $135.99
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ Venice 2000MHz HT Socket 939 Processor $112.00
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) $229.55
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS $75
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive $100
Total Current Price to build: $1175 + shipping
I think i could stomach doing $950 shipped or $900 for pickup. Thats 650+ less than what i built it for, and $300 less than you could build it for. Sold as-is but everything is working fine and i've had not a single problem with it. I can do cash/check/paypal. Located just off Avent Ferry and Varsity Dr. 8/27/2006 8:44:11 PM |

Part it out and sell me the RAM...$80?
By the way, stick it on Craigs list or E-bay...you don't have a shot in hell at selling that for $900 on TWW. 8/27/2006 8:46:53 PM |

It's well worth 900 for someone looking specifically for a gaming PC, and yes im aware theres alot of cheepskates on TWW but you get what you pay for. No parting it out. I'm selling to force myself out of the gaming habit and focus on school work. 8/27/2006 9:55:39 PM |

This is what every other person who has ever built a computer and tried to profit off of parts has said to Tdub at large. Do like the man said, put it on craigslist.8/28/2006 12:13:56 AM |

I'm not advertising individual parts, i only posted the current RETAIL part prices from newegg (by and large having the lowest part prices anywhere) to show what it would cost to build this box today. If all you web dreamers think that price is too high why dont you spam someone elses for sale thread and keep your low end parts. For those with CASH that have half a brain feel free to email me @ jmgobien@ncsu.edu . I never said i wouldnt even consider less but MONEY TALKS, not whining about how poor you are. 8/28/2006 9:47:52 AM |
