^ is what I'm looking for, attached to a windows-based machine. I know they have them in the DML in the library, but they're hooked up to apple machines...

it's a pain to convert filesystems and digital video formats and I'd rather just keep everything windows-based NTFS if I can help it...

Is there a miniDV deck on campus that I can use? Design School perhaps?

can you not just find a computer with firewire?

AFAIK any windows PC in the CoD should have firewire you can plop into and use Premiere
