A small but very annoying problem. I right-click on the desktop and go to display properties, and click on the Desktop tab to change my background. Usually the list to choose from is very small, and it just has whatever bacgrounds came with Windows. This is fine.

However, sometimes the computer decides to pull up a list of every fucking picture file on my machine, and it sits frozen for a good 5-10 minutes while it thinks about this. The error managed to correct itself once but I have no idea how. Any thoughts?

Easy fix - don't save pictures in your My Pictures folder.
