the real intro song still sucked, but it was better than "bring the pain", and right when the team came down the steps was super fucking ridiculous awesome

^this was much better than the 3 games they did it for last year. I think it was the music from the CF introduction.

I was down there on the field watching the team come down. It was AWESOME!!! The music that they used made it that much better than the few times they did it last year.

The whole Gladiator theme is awesome!

The intro was gay.

I mean, it'd have been cool if we weren't playing a Div IAA team and actually played them decently.

It's a good thing we were practicing jumping jacks on the field rather than football.

It's a good thing they spent a day of training camp with how to walk down the steps (because you know they fucking did) rather than working on how to throw the ball more than 5 yards.

And it's a good thing we keep using that gay "Wolfpack in the house" rather than "Here comes the boom", because it's so mcuh better.

did marko have a hand in the intro

because that seems a little bit like his style

with the blimps and workers

anyone have a copy of that?

i thought they used Korn's Blind as the song right before they came out of the tunnel. didn't they? if so i don't see why someone would complain, since so many were talking about how good that would be to use as the song to pump up the crowd right before the team comes out. sort of like Enter Sandman for VT.

I liked the entrance, but it seemed to take just a little bit too long. It just takes too long for all of the players to make it down the stairs. But, that's what makes it so cool, too. Maybe some sort of zip-line is in order.

the little video wasnt very exciting of football related. i mean, this is a football game, not something honoring the people who built the stadium. the team coming down through the fans was cool but it needed some of the music from the previous seasons. it wasnt very intimidating.

i think for an entrance you have to have some kind of buildup. VT has a intro showing a highlight reel or great times in VT history before Enter Sandman. you can't just go out there at full speed. it's all about building anticipation. like when Clemson shows the team on the bus traveling around the stadium. a good intro is like sex. you can't have too short of one or else you feel jipped and it's not very fun. if it's too long it can get boring for at least one, perhaps both parties. start out slow and then build to a great climax.

I loved the intro video/music. Very inspirational and motivating.
I sat in section 114, and got to high-5 the players walking down.

Finally being back to CF, seeing all the improvments, the pumped fans, hearing the band, and getting to see my wolfpack play again, the whole intro experience was very emotional.

it didnt go with the kind of attitude we want the team to have. it needs to be more "in your face". we dont have the traditions to scare people, so we need to be extra intimidating.

We need to not suck at football before we're going to intimidate anyone.

it was seriously one of the best things that's ever been put on the video board

along with the philip rivers montage during his last game

and the mexi-cam

i like using the Gladiator theme...that shit is awesome. I just think there are too many players to walk down the steps it takes so damn long. Maybe have just the Seniors walk down the steps and rejoin the team in the tunnel to come out... what do you guys think of that?

ok, i guess it was a one-time only thing.

i really hope they go back to something especially like they had 2 years ago where the players would punch the screen and it would go "here comes the BOOM!"

we need some exciting music, more fireworks, and more fan participation!

and we need to let the players say something on the intro, take the camera to them live under the stands so they can get the crowd pumped and intimidate the opponents.

the cf history intro was freakin amazing, gave me chills, and when they flashed the names of our retired players, it was awesome. rivers and holt = frenzy around the stadium. best one since ive been there, better than the boom even though it was 1:30 shorter at least

glad someone else put this... at least this way the players get to walk down the steps into the stadium while the crowd is rocking... if that doesn't pump them up for a game i don't know what would.

It was Gladiator, aka Backdraft, aka Armageddon, aka The Rock.

Hans Zimmer didnt do Band of Brothers (Michael Kamen did), which probably explains why the BoB theme sounds nothing at all like the Gladiator one.

how the fuck does playing the gladiator theme not convey the right attitude??? then, that was followed by korn's "blind". i think the intro was money. i was fired up as fuck, and i was watching the game through an internet feed.
