Gregory has been a member of the Wolfpack family now for several years, a steady fixture behind the Wolfpack bench, in the lockerroom, on the bus. Throughout everything he’s been through, ‘the guys’ have been his inspiration, and he has definitely been an inspiration to them. When the call goes out that Greg is struggling, the response shows just what he means to those who have come in contact with him. Julius Hodge calls from Denver. Ilian Evtimov checks in from Italy. Tony Bethel in Maryland, Cam Bennerman in Chicago, the entire coaching staff at Arizona State and every player, manager and trainer from the current Wolfpack team. He has had that much of an impact on so many people. That call went out last night. Greg is in ICU at Duke, clinging to his life. His parents, Gary and Charlene, are at his side, just as grateful and graceful as they have been throughout his ordeal. And although Greg isn’t conscious, he’s still showing that toughness, fighting off an infection that threatens him. So next time you hear someone talk about toughness, remember little Greg ... and say a prayer for him and his family. "

come on little Wolfpacker, get through that infection. we need you there cheering on the team, and we'll keep cheering on for you. the world would be a lot better if we had more people with that kid's spirit. i've noticed him at a fair amount of games.

if i knew i didn't have much time on this earth i'd try to live it up. i'd try to make it to every possible game, go as many places, experience as much as possible. fuck eroding away in a hospital.

no doubt...but with something as fragile as brain surgery, i think i'd be more worried about successfully completing the procedure
