I cannot view web pages that require the flash player, but when I attempt to download the player, the adobe website says the player has already been successfully downloaded. what could be the problem, and how can I fix it?

^^both IE and mozilla. youtube, the Dodge vehicle website. havent tried clearing the cache.

^I've had a hard time searching for the current plug in... also, will I be prompted to save the executable file upon trying to download, regardless of whether or not the plugin is currently installed? (I'm assuming so if it should be saved in the new folder?)
