Onto my neighbor's car today - just a little stripe about an inch, inch and a half long, on the drivers' side mirror. Green on white, nice huh?

Purely an accident, but rather than pay out the ass for him to take it to a shop can anyone suggest a way to safely remove it myself? I'm going to tell him, but I want to suggest a removal/polish method before I just write him a check

try polishing compound first. if that don't get it, the use some rubbing compound carefully

and that'll remove it? since it's my green paint on his white i'm HOPING it shouldn't be too hard to fix. the car's probably a mid-nineties model, so it's not pristine, but it certainly doesn't need any green accents

Yes. That'll take your paint off his paint. Just don't overdo it with the rubbing compound.
