I am a senior graduating in dec. I have 9 hours left for my major but I wanted to be full time and added a "non degree" course. I heard that in theory that I could change this class to credit only, recieve an incomplete and it would not affect my GPA or graduation. Can anyone verify this for me?

you dont reveive an imcomplete for not passing a credit only class
you receive a U, unsatisfactory
the point of credit only is so whatever you receive doesn't affect your GPA 9/8/2006 1:16:09 AM |

http://www.ncsu.edu/policies/academic_affairs/courses_undergrad/REG02.20.5.php
Quote : | "The minimum course load for full-time undergraduate degree students is 12 credit hours, except in their final semester when a lesser number may be taken if that is all the student needs to fulfill the requirements for a degree. In order to receive financial aid a student must meet the minimum course load requirements of the appropriate funding agency." |
Financial aid or health insurance need to be checked on first. If 9 credit hours aren't sufficient, and you need to go to 12, see this: http://www.ncsu.edu/policies/academic_affairs/grades_undergrad/REG02.50.3.php

You never know when you'll need to submit a transcript from your undergraduate years. You don't want to be caught in a situation explaining a U your final senior semester.9/8/2006 1:38:14 AM |

^ Looks like they did a good job redoing the PRR website. Haven't gone over it in detail, but looks much more organized/navigable. Only complaint I have is I can't scan quite it as quickly (where's my soothing white/gray space?!).
(P.S. Tell NCSU to hire somebody to fix financial aid's website or have that Website Advisory Committee move along a little quicker )
