I'm running a little test here to come up with some accurate performance numbers between the two. I'd like to measure CPU load, power consumption, and memory usage while doing a set series of applications and tasks on a system with IGP vs Dedicated graphics.

The first thing that came to mind was 3dmark, but I dont remember ever seeing any detailed specs of what was going on; just some generic score at the end.

I need a program that will give me a more detailed log (preferably during runtime of the tests), or if 3dmark will do it, then that'll be fine.

3dmark will give you a score, but it'll also throw back a ton of other information about each test. You'll probably need to use 3dmark03 or something for the tests though; 05 and 06 have some lofty system requirements, and the IGP might not be able to run some of the tests.

use a combo of sysmark or winbench with 3dmark or any timedemo game out there. should give you the numbers you are looking for
