forget the poise.

Federer's whole game is unparalled. This guy is 25 year old. He will dominate for at least the next 3-4 years, which puts him atop the best tennis players OF ALL TIME.

Sampras didn't win Wimbeldon and the US Open back to back for 3 consecutive years. When Roger's career is over, he'll go down as the best to ever play the game. He absolutely dominates his opponents and never seems to have to exert any energy.

Roger Federer has won four straight Wimbledons

and hopefully somebody, whether it be nadal, roddick, etc, can step up and slow him down, otherwise he will take down my boy sampras's record -

sooner than later

I like how clean his style is, just shows the level of confidence he has.
As for records they're only set to be broken.

apparently he's friends with tiger now too- somehow, they're from the same gene pool someplace

i love his subtle arrogance in his interviews - when he beat blake the other night and was commenting on how blake took a set from him, he started with, 'well i started making mistakes, and then he was able to put some momentum together'

^Federer is not subtly arrogant..mother fucker is ARROGANT (with good reason)

In his pre-match interview he said something to the effect of: "You know, my record is incredible"

Dude knows he is a badass.

roger @ 25: 2 Australian Opens, 0 French, 4 Wimbledons, 3 U.S. -- 9 Grand Slams, 41 total
sampras @ 25: 1 Australian Open, 0 French, 3 Wimbledon, 4 U.S. -- 8 Grand Slams, 42 total

federer is badass, but he certainly isn't unparalleled

I assume he gets trim on the side?

If not, he needs to take Tigers cue and get a hot blonde Swedish model. At least his girl seems to have lost SOME weight..

huh? 1+3+4 = 8

Yeah it's like when Michael Jordan used to say "When I'm on my game, no one can stop me." That's not arrogance, it's the truth! Hopefully Roger can overcome Nadal at the French next year to complete the career slam.

I love that we are alive and able to witness such Greatness...

I mean, we (for the most part) got to see the prime time/tail end of a great career by MJ and the best of the best by Tiger, Federer, and L. Armstrong (save the debate please)...

Hopefully Lebron will get buck wild on his sport as well...

True, but Sampras is done.

Tiger and Federer are the now.

^ I wouldn't say we are lucky, I would much rather see a great competition than dominance.

Bird vs. Magic is better than MJ beating everyone

Nicklaus vs. Palmer is better than Tiger beating everyone

Agassi vs. Sampras is better than Federer beating everyone

I don't give a crap about bicycles

The parity these days is much greater than it ever was...

Tiger rockin' the shit is awesome because everyone else, on a whole, is so much better than they ever were.

Federer straight dominating is great to watch because there are other great players out there that have trouble even hanging with him.

Lance is badass to me cause he kicked ass in a country where they hated him for doing it and they had no answer for his dominance.
