So my MAE305 lab is about to start and there is a textbook for it. From anyone that has taken this already, how necessary is the book for the class?

the labs are all being run by a new faculty member this year, so who knows, he may incorporate it now.

when i took 305 i never used the book, but i still have it and he said we'd be needing it for 405 lab

terry says we're going to need it and the PID control book that comes with it for 405 if you're taking it
