hes always been a loose cannon, he hesitated on going after a perp when benson got hurt (this is after his wife left him, and benson and the job was all he had left), he expressed his concern to her that his caring for her may be affecting his performance, and she asked for a new partner.

As shitty as he is in everything I have ever seen Anthony Anderson in, I actually thought he played his character well in the one episode he was in.
