I know I need to put together a club constitution/charter or something.

But the Student Organizations page is fscked ATM.

Anyone have a link/copy of the requirements?

On second thought, I think I'm looking for info on creating a club, if that's actually a disparate entity from an "organization".

Good luck trying to do it with the university. They probably wont have anything to do with a rifle club due to the liability. Basspack cant even show "NCSU" on tournament jerseys.

Actually, NC State has a Rifle Team. It's a varsity sport here. SO THERE.

Granted varsity status in 1958.

Met a guy in my CC class who said that there was a rifle team here, they use .22 target rifles (you know, the ugly ass ones, specifically for target stuff).

I have his email around here if you want it.

It would be nice to expand exposure to shooting sports so that people will quit with the "guns -> rednecks" nonsense.

Still thinking about contacting General Assembly members for NC CHP restriction modifications. Basically, anywhere you might need the damn gun, it's illegal. I figure having a solid student organization for responsible ownership and use of firearms might give a leg to stand on.

^ I'd be interested myself. I'm in my last semester, and probably couldn't be very involved, but I'd definitely like to see something develop.
