Basically you roll up in a "buy me drinky" bar, which are full of filipinas who've migrated away from the Philippines to make a buck anyway they can. They're basically the equivalent of hoes, but the Japanese government doesn't regulate it at all. haha i was at a titty bar in nogales mexico and this chick came and sat down with my friend, and was like "will u buy me a shot" - so i was like "ill buy you one for him" - you know how it is at the titty bar, yo. trying to hook my boy up. and another girl sat by me, and i was like fuck it get her one also.

Went there for three weeks to visit some family, but it was a long time ago, and I spent most of my time outside of Manila.

Subic Bay had some pretty cool stuff if you ever make it over there. Couple hot springs that you can hit up. You'll find a lot of beggars...just say "wala" and you're straight. If you're out in the country, do not sleep without a net or you're screwed. The mall in Manila is like 5 stories; it'd be cool to go in there and shop.

The heat is flat out nasty. If you're lucky, you'll have an air conditioned car, because traffic is awful. I don't know if it's monsoon season out there or not. If it is, things will get interesting for you. I think I'd rather hack it in monsoon season than to be in eighty five degree heat at 8 in the morning though.

Girls will want to have sex with you in hopes that you'll marry them and bring them to America. Wrap it good while you're over there.

if you're into WWII history, take the boat tour out to Corregidor Island. I think they still have McArthur's HQ out there. Also, don't forget to hit mega-mall (no shit, this is what they call it).

I've been there. Manila is very, very hot and humid. Baguio (in the mountains, where I spent my time) was very nice. Make sure you're ready for the heat, and also find out when the rain season is. The second time I went, I didn't step outside for the first 3 days.

I lived in the Philippines for a while when I was younger, but most my time was spent on a military base. Baguio is very nice from what I remember, only spent a few days there.

everything there is cheap as fuck as long as you have dollar currency...there are western restaurants there but you should really try the local foods...if you're not the extreme kind of person then just at least try the food such as pancit, lumpia, batchoy, menudo, etc. You should try the fruits as well especially the mango. also the food by the street vendors. DON'T DRINK THE WATER THERE. drink bottled water. the heat will be terrible except maybe in the mountain area. since ur gonna be in makati, it's a very busy area i think. you will hate the traffic. there are a lot of historic places you can visit and the mall over there is gigantic. even i haven't even been to it. There's SM Megamall and their newest one, Mall of Asia. and yea, the prostitute areas, bring condoms. a lot of them. don't get tricked into falling for one cuz they know that you're their only ticket to come here to the US.

you will find the filipinos very nice and very attentive to your needs. just like in any big city, be carefull where u put ur wallet and pay attention to your belongings at all times. the thing with the beggars, if u give one of them like a small amount of change, expect the rest to see u doing that and they will come to you and ask you for money as well. filipinos can speak and understand English so don't worry about communication. just make sure you speak clearly, slowly, and not too much slang terms.

since you're gonna be there for 2 months, make sure you go to the beaches: Boracay or Hundred Islands. if you're gonna visit any rural areas, be careful there as well.
