with plasma burn in?

aka how long does it take, etc

is it still an issue? I just got one without burnin protection and i'm worried.

Avoid static images for long periods of time and you'll be fine. i.e. don't use it for videogames and don't watch a lot of sports programs with unmoving score displays.

Also, a google search for "plasma burnin" wouldn't have killed you and will most likely net you more and better information.

Sports programs won't be an issue, I don't think.

thats gay, buy a tv then you cant use it for cool stuff like games and sports, whats the point....go DLP or LCD

Most people don't play games.

Sports likely won't be a problem.

LCDs are more expensive, and aren't made as large, and also have a more limited viewing angle.

DLPs have a limited viewing angle, and a bulb that burns out, and also take up more space than a plasma.

There's no one-type-fits-all TV, but if you play a lot of video games, plasmas aren't your ideal choice.
