I searched and didn't see a topic on this. For those of you who don't know or currently live in the area; Steve Logan, former ECU football coach has is now doing his a radio show on 620 The Bull weekdays from 1-3pm. Though 620 The Bull and 850 the Buzz does not provide live streams of their broadcast, they have posted Logan's show every day after it's airing on their Blog.

If you want to listen to someone who is informed in both pro and college football this is the show for you. Logan has been great so far, I listen to the mp3's posted on the blog and Logan gives his opinion on the latest things mostly on the collegiate level. He also addresses a football team from time to time as if he was the head football coach. The show is very educational, and I am glad they have decided to make the show accessible.

Here is the link to yesterday's show: http://www.850thebuzz.com/blog/?p=1798

I've listened to it when I go out for lunch. I kind of like his show. He doesn't sugarcoat anything and says whats on his mind. But I can see why people wouldn't like him.

Logan is great. Knows a fuckload about football, and is fair to all coaches because he knows the heat they take. I love his line about college football coaches and he says the same thing about playing qb in the NFL:

"Its like running through hell with gasoline shorts"

As much as I would HATE to have a former ECU coach as our HC, I think he could win here.. I mean.. Look what he did at ECU.....

THe show is actually really good. I especially liked Monday's show when he gave his "Team Talks" for both UNC and NC State. He said exactly what he would say to the teams if he were head coach. I believe this is the last year that ECU has to pay Logan so I wouldn't be surprised if he took an ACC job in the next year. I don't know if he could get the NC State job but I sure as hell don't want to go against him... he's like a poor man's Steve Spurrier.

^ I have always thought that about him too, the comparison to Spurrier.

I listen to the show whenever I can--it's awesome. Someone has asked him what it would take to get him here--he didn't sound too interested, but that could just be "radio talk"

I heard his bit about when he left too... but keep in mind that he's been getting salary from ECU this whole time so he didn't have to work. He's already been doing work for NFL Europe as well as consulting for a few NFL teams. He was DAMN close to landing a job in Green Bay as Offensice Coordinator. He will get back into coaching. He's had a nice vacation with pay so he's all refreshed.

^ Of course, whether he wanted to come here or not, he is smarter that to start up a firestorm like that. Plus I am sure he wouldn't appreciate another coach taking about the possiblities of taking his current job.

^^ I just listed to the yesterday's show they have posted on the blog and he said after he left ECU he took a bass boat to eastern northern carolina rives for a year. He sounds like he has become better for it too, or at least enjoys what he is currently doing, radio and NFL Europe.
