Ok, I work from home most of the time, but I'm also required to maintain a "workstation" at my branch's main office. I have a 7 year old Compaq Presario that is in horrible condition, but I wanted to use it. Unfortunately, it was in such bad shape that I needed to reinstall windows and dump everything on it. I did this with the rescue disk, but didn't think far enough ahead that I didn't have the product key for my Windows 98. I tried downloading a keygen, but I couldn't find one that wasn't just a virus. I owned the original disk, but I have no clue where it is.

Any ideas?

if you really own the disc and can't find it and want to be completely legal, you can call and order a replacement CD.

Normally I would say lock and suspend.

However since Microsoft no longer supports or sells Win 98, go for it.

try searching for seriall, theyre decent at this stuff (as long as you arent stupid enough to download their "keygens")
