he injured a rib while escaping from the bottom in round 2 after matt missed that elbow when bj mounted on his back

but not to say that BJ Penn's cardio hasnt been historically suspect, he's even said that he doesnt like to train hard..but im sure he was in better shape than to gas that early, just an unfortunate weird way to catch a rib injury

if u notice him in the third round u can see him protecting that rib the ENTIRE remainder of the fight even on the bottom

maybe i'm missin somethin, but i still see no sign of injury.....it just appears bj is just gased to me.....i also can't find any sources that say he was injured........either way, i am sure there is gonna be another fight between these two, which i cant wait to see.....just like with any sport, you hafta train for the entire duration of the event (i.e. football, a team can dominate one half, but if they suck it up the next and end up losing, thats still a loss).

"he's a better fighter just b/c he showed signs of brilliance in the first two rounds, but gased, he's really a better fighter than hughes"......there are more than one aspect to a complete fighter, and matt hughes has proven once again he is complete.....you just do what you gotta do to win

i cant wait to see gsp and hughes....i really do not know what to expect....haven't made up my mind yet

unlike boxing, there are many more aspects to ufc fighting....i mean, boxing is all standing, and any (or most) fights that occur in life always end up on the ground....i don't see how people can be into boxing but not this sport

the reason mma has worse boxing techniques than boxers is because they cant commit to a full strike or else they can get kicked, taken down, or even submittied while standing

MMA fighters have to take a wider , more square stance to defend against leg kicks than boxers do
