pretty fucking hillarious, i found the 'How Indie Are You' quiz to be the funniest thing on there.

indie is the new grunge

I was just going by the pictures on the main feature page. The questions that are actually questions (and not jabs at hipsters with jokes under each answer) are all pretty simple. It would be okay if they were actually funny, but you look at most of them and go "OH, TO BE THE MOST INDIE I AM SUPPOSED TO ANSWER THIS WAY, ISN'T THAT SO HILARIOUS."

Nice to see Mac up there in the corner, though.

i'm confused about the wes anderson question. are they saying the "most indie" wes anderson movie is a tie between rushmore and royal tenenbaums? how is the answer not bottle rocket? i am perplexed.

That quiz makes me want to die, which, ironically, is emo.

^^^^ I was wondering the exact same thing. Maybe Bottle Rocket is less emo because it's a heist film, and no indie kid would think about a bank job as being cool.

And they included the Long Winters in the Olympia section but not S-K .

The Clash is the only band that matters? Moz is God? If we'd been allowed to show that we cared that much, we would have made fun of anyone going around making these kinds of statements. These people know squat.

I'll admit that I've been out of the scene for so long that Natasha Bedingfield comes up more often than anyone else on my iTunes, but I still know enough to know that this is right on par with "swingin' on the flippety-flop." These guys are lamestains.

Oh, and the "right" answer to these questions is more heavy-handed than Oliver Stone's directing.
