THE EVENT: This will be a rematch of last season's CIAA Championship and the game is part of the
third annual Prince George’s Classic.
THE SERIES: This will mark the 20th overall meeting between the Bulldogs and Eagles. North
Carolina Central leads the series 14-4-1 since first meeting on the gridiron in 1981. NCCU has defeated Bowie State three consecutive times.

#2 - QB - Stadford Brown (Fr.-RS, 6-1, 196) – Leads CIAA in passing yards per game (214.2) and passing efficiency (163.8) and is third in total offense per game (210.5 yards). Three-time CIAA Rookie of the Week. Brown's 163.8 passer rating ranks 10th in the NCAA.
#8 - WR - Charles Futrell (Sr., 6-6, 200) – Tops Eagles and is fourth in the CIAA averaging 4.0
receptions per game. Leads the CIAA with 92.5 receiving yards per game and in total receiving yardage (370). Ranks sixth in conference, averaging 92.5 all-purpose yards per game and is tied for third in the CIAA averaging 6.0 points per game. Named CIAA receiver of the week after a four catch and career-best 140-yards with one touchdown performance against Southern on Sept. 23. Futrell's 92.5 receiving yards per game rank 22nd in the NCAA.
#1 - WR - Julius McClellan (Sr., 6-4, 225) - Ranks second on NCCU and eighth in the CIAA in receiving yards per game (57.0), tied for seventh in points per game (4.5) and is eighth in the conference in all-purpose yards per game (88.2).
#34 - RB - Greg Pruitt, Jr. (Sr., 5-10, 200) – Leads team and places third in the CIAA in rushing with 72.2 yards per game (289 yards, 4 TD's). Tied for third in the CIAA in points per game (6.0).
#39 - DL - Greg Peterson (Sr., 6-5, 280) – Third on team with 21 tackles, including 6.5 hits for a loss.
Peterson's 6.5 tackles for a loss lead NCCU and puts him seventh in the CIAA with 1.62 tackles for loss per game.

NCCU'S LAST TRIP TO BOWIE STATE: North Carolina Central University last traveled to Bulldog Stadium on Oct. 23, 1999 and suffered a 26-25 loss in OT to BSU. NCCU running back Junior Bulla ran for a career-high 211 yards and four touchdowns.
IRRESISTIBLE FORCE VS THE IMMOVABLE OBJECT: The NCCU-Bowie St. matchup will pit the No. 1 units in several CIAA statistical categories against each other. NCCU, the CIAA's number one passing attack (Stadford Brown leads in passing yards per game and Charles Futrell leads in receiving yards per game) will face the stingiest passing defense in the conference, Bowie State, who is allowing just 104 yards per game through the air. The contest also will feature the conference's top two scoring defenses, with both NCCU and Bowie allowing a meager 12.0 points per game.
REMATCH OF THE 2005 CIAA CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: NCCU and Bowie State met on Nov. 5, 2005, in O-Kelly-Riddick Stadium to determine the CIAA champion. After trailing 17-0 at halftime, NCCU scored 26 second-half points, including a 30-yard Brandon Gilbert field goal with three seconds remaining, to defeat Bowie State 26-23.
NCCU RANKED NATIONALLY: Following NCCU's win over Division I-AA Southern University, NCCU did not move up in any national rankings. The Eagles stayed at No. 6 in Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette Division II poll, while the Eagles remained at No. 2 in the SBN Sports Network Black College Football Poll. However, NCCU received a first-place vote in the SBN poll. (Sept. 25-Week 4). NCCU always remained No. 7 in the D2football.com national poll and No. 2 in the BASN HBCU Football poll.
PRUITT RUNS TOWARD HISTORY: NCCU senior running back Greg Pruitt, Jr., who finished the Southern game with 96 yards and a 58-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, on 13 carries, passed Jefferson Inman (2,476 yards; 1969-72) into second place all-time with 2,564 career ground yards. He now stands just 277 yards from passing Joe Simmons (2,840 yards; 1990-93) as NCCU’s all-time leading rusher.
ROAD WARRIORS: NCCU's next three contests take place away from O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium, included in those contests are trips Bowie State University, Saint Augustine's College and Fayetteville State University. NCCU has won 21 of its last 24 games overall and its last road defeat was a 17-7 loss at Fayetteville State on Oct. 9, 2004. In fact, since Broadway took over the reigns of the Eagles program in 2003, NCCU has lost only two road games (excluding neutral site contests). The aforementioned FSU contest in 2004, and a 47-0 loss at Winston-Salem State on Oct. 25, 2003. Broadway has a 9-2 career record on the road (excluding neutral site contests).
GILBERT KICKS FOR A MILESTONE: Eagle junior place-kicker Brandon Gilbert, who is 13-of-13 on PAT's (point after touchdown) this season, has 87 career PAT's and needs just two more to become the NCCU all-time leader. Kevin Houston (1992-1995) currently holds the career record (89). Gilbert, who scored nine points against Southern University, passed Julian Martin (1966-1969) into seventh place all-time on the NCCU career scoring chart. Gilbert needs only nine points to pass James Martin (1970-74, 180 points) into sixth place all-time.
NCCU HOT START A REGULAR UNDER BROADWAY: In the 83 years NCCU has fielded football teams, only 12 of those teams have started the season 4-0. For the second consecutive year, Broadway's squad has accomplished just that, making it only the third time in school history that NCCU has started 4-0 in consecutive seasons. The others occurred during the 1940-41 and the 1950-51 seasons.
