i have firmware 2.60.... i want to get a bunch of nintendo games to be able to play them on my PSP.

I dont really know anything about emulators or any of that, so if someone could help me out, that would be awesome.

If I were you, I'd upgrade to version 2.71 and then downgrade to 1.50. Running homebrew is incredibly easy at that point.

There is a way to run homebrew on a 2.71 system, but I've never done it so I can't speak for how easy it is. Most everyone on the forums I read prefer a 1.5 system over a 2.xx system with the homebrew hacks.

You gotta make sure you dont have a TA-082 motherboard before you downgrade it though, otherwise it will brick your system.

If you do have the nondowngradable motherboard, use the 2.71 firmware with DevHook so you can emulate 1.50 and run homebrew that way.

how the hell do i know what kind of motherboard and shit I have? And it wont let me upgrade to 2.71 yet for some reason.

i just want some nintendo emulators to play in the car on the way to NY this week.

I think you'll find that all the information you need is already easily available to you if you're willing to do a small amount of work to look for it.

And with the two responses you've gotten here already, there's already enough to suggest that you could easily get help if you ask detailed, intelligent questions.

"How the hell do I get it to work?" is not one of those questions.

I'll even start you out in the right direction. Go to the maxconsole forums and read some of the many tutorials there. You just might learn a thing or two and not have to have someone hold your hand every step of the way.

Go there and get the 2.71 full downgrader. It even shows you what a TA-082 motherboard is since you're too lazy to google it. If you've got it, don't proceed, otherwise do. The program gives you step by step directions so its impossible to fuck it up.
