If you ask me he's lucky he lost his spleen.

Rivers looks damn good in his first season as a starter. Marty Schottenheimer is holding him back right now because:

1) Marty is the same guy who put Joe Montana on a leash.

2) He doesnt want to put too much pressure on Phil

3) So the rest of the league doesn't expose him in Nov/Dec.
