I've never really been a fan of shredding for more than 30 seconds at a time, but I do enjoy people who approach the guitar from a different angle. Here's one of my favorites, Raul Midon, playing his single "State of Mind" and then explaining how he gets some of the sounds.

Also, Kaki King:

Kaki King is pretty interesting, but I don't really feel like listening to her songs more than once.

She IS a fox, though.

ha, raul midon was amazing, i looked and was surprised to see his album is at best buy, but i guess once you hit letterman, you're pretty big time

i liked mongraine's song a little better, but i think midon is probably the better musician, if i may make such a rash judgment after listening to one song from them each

not so much on ms king, not to say she isn't crazy talented, but listening to her on a radio per se versus watching her would not be half as cool, as is the case with most instrumentals i would say

I can't remember the last time I ever bought a CD, probably like, weird al's bad hair day. But I would totally buy Erik Mongrain's.

That shit is genius.

Did he mess up on Letterman or is that part of the song?
