you can do it with a 1x6, clear tubing, staples and water for about $10, just staple the tubing to the board in a u shape, fill with a few inches of water with the open ends straight up, and the other ends connected to the carbs, then adjust to get all the water levels the same 10/4/2006 11:23:40 AM |

transmission fluid is more visible and safer in case it gets sucked in, but yeah that's the general idea
also it's a waste of time if everyting else is not dialed in 100 percent, unless they are terribly out of sync.

Definitely just make one. Tranny fluid will work fine. I doubt your valves need adjustment at 10k, I think most companies recommend checking them every 25k or so. 10/5/2006 12:17:34 AM |

just go by a plastic mitty vac. you can use the vacuum gauge on that, plus the vacuum pump function of it is awesome. i think they are like 30 bucks. 10/5/2006 10:42:27 AM |

You niggers just don't know how to sync carbs.
In a pinch, you can take a piece of 5/32" vacuum tubing and position it in the intake of the carb. Listen to the hissing sound in each of the carbs while the bike's running. Get'em to sound the same, and you're done syncing your carbs. I've done it this way with good results.
Of course, sync gauges are the best way, but fuck all that noise if it involves spending money you don't have (or that would be better spent on whores, food, or beer). 10/5/2006 3:49:46 PM |
