Rivers beat FSU twice and had the game of his life as a Senior in Tallahassee. Too bad Brian Clark fumbled away that win, or Rivers would have finished 3-1 against FSU.

Not at all.

Most of Evans' passes were just lobs, letting the receiver make the play on the ball. It works with our tall receivers, and it's something that Davis and Stone couldn't figure out

but it is NOT comparable to Rivers.

^^The fact that he had the calm balls to put it up there was nice though.

i didnt say he IS rivers, i said he has what rivers had, and that's a quarterback's POISE. he comes in chill as ice and makes the throws. stone and davis couldnt do that shit, evans can. if the coaches can get his passing better (and fix that goddamned low snap shit), he very well could be another #17

^^^^very true. Our receivers made some amazing plays tonight. Especially James and Dunlap.

On the bright side...Stone could not make those throws.

Yes, it's a nice change from the shitty QB play we've had for two years.

But Rivers had zip and accuracy, in a form that's incredibly rare.

Evans did his job, pure and simple. We have awesome athletes playing WR, TE and RB. He put the ball up and let the receiver make the play. I mean shit... 13/22 for 3 TDs and no picks....

He had a great game. He didn't put the team on his back like Rivers.... he just did his job and did it well

b/c those two passes to Geron down the left sideline were lobs. Evans put that ball high enough the corner couldn't get it, and right over Geron's head, so those two back to back lobs made for a whopping 57 yards.

Not saying he is Rivers, but I doubt Evans got this far in life just lobbing the ball up there. 10,000+ yards in high school? tell me how many other high school QB's did that?
