"Voter registrations faked in GOP drive
About 150 forms questioned in Metro, Williamson County

By JESSICA FENDER,
BONNA de la CRUZ
and BRAD SCHRADE
Staff Writers

At least five apparently bogus voter registration forms were submitted to the Metro Nashville election commission by a worker with ties to the Republican National Committee, and up to 150 other registrations have been called into question, The Tennessean has learned.

Election officials in Williamson County said they were probing three to five potentially fraudulent forms that might or might not be related to the Metro cases."

The G.O.P.'s Secret Weapon

You think the Republicans are sure to lose big in November? They
aren't. Here's why things don't look so bad to them

What Rove and Mehlman wanted to figure out was the code for increasing
the number of Republican voters who could be reliably summoned to the
polls--a code that, once cracked, could be used to win election after
election. "We want to turn 75%-Republican areas into 78%- or
79%-Republican areas while at the same time turning 15% areas into 18%
or 19% areas," says Mike DuHaime, political director of the R.N.C.

In the off year of 2001, the creators of the 72-Hour program tested it
in odd, lower-profile contests, including court races in Pennsylvania.
The Bushies picked clusters of precincts where they quietly tried
their new methods, then compared those with similar precincts where
the campaigns did things the more traditional way. Those experiments
helped Republicans develop a handful of precepts that constitute the
party's playbook for this fall:"

Between the rigged voting machines and faked voter registrations, I don't think the Democratic Party can win unless there's a huge turnout from their side.

I don't think it's funny to see anyone complain about faked registrations, no matter what side of the aisle.

haha I was thinking the same thing, considering ACORN was all over the news right here in Wake County and everywhere else in North Carolina for their prolific fraud efforts...

Let me try to understand the second article...

The secret weapon to win elections is to...get more people to vote for you?

Thanks a lot! This asshole is the political equivalent of John Madden.

now what you gotta do here is to get more people to vote for you. ya see, now if you get more people to vote for you, then you win elections, and if you win elections, that means more people voted for you. if you wanna win an election, then you gotta get more people to vote for you.

IF THEY'RE GONNA WIN THIS GAME THEY'RE GONNA HAVE TO SCORE MORE POINTS THAN THEIR OPPONENT!

I THINK ITS OBVIOUS THAT RIGHT NOW THEY WANT TO WIN THIS GAME, BECAUSE IF THEY DON'T WIN IT HERE, THEN THEY'LL HAVE LOST IT. AND IN ORDER TO WIN THIS GAME, THEY'RE GOING TO TRY TO SCORE MORE POINTS THAN THEIR OPPONENTS. THAT MEANS THEY'LL WIN AND THE BAD GUYS WILL LOSE. LOOK HERE AT THIS DRAWING I DID OF THE PLAY THEY SHOULD RUN. THIS CIRCLE RIGHT HERE IS THE QUARTERBACK AND THIS RECTANGLE IS THE ENDZONE. THIS LINE REPRESENTS HIM GOING TO THE ENDZONE AND THIS STAR OVER HERE REPRESENTS THE JEWS THAT ARE RIGGING THE ELECTIONS.

gg on your reading comprehension.

The secret weapon is a set of new methodologies that allow the GOP to micro-target dispersed demographics with multiple experimental advertising techniques, giving them an empirically proven strategy to bring the maximum amount of voters to the polls on election day, while minimizing expenses.

its a min-max problem and the GOP has scientifically solved it. how's that for irony. (you know, the republicans hate science, etc.)

you know it's funny, they are questioning 150 forms. but in the grand scheme of things, 150 isn't even on a blip on the statistical radar. it could literally be due to anything, and if it is due to a campaign worker, i'll bet he was acting on his own, especially considering it is only 150

sounds like democrats just tryin to add more wood to the republican bonfire

^Cherokee, you are exactly right. I mean, no doubt this jackass deserves to be strung up for voter fraud or whatnot, but it isn't like Republican goons are the only ones trying to interfere with elections.

^^ and watch how much oxygen the mainstream media provides to the fire, compared to the oxygen they gave to similar stories of democratic voting fraud in 2004

^^^ I've worked in quite a few countries as an election observer and in all my time doing it, rarely have I encountered isolated incidents of fraud. Sure 150 votes is peanuts in the grand scheme, but it could prove to be the tip of the iceberg. However, i agree with BGmimms in that I have just as rarely encountered only one side tampering with votes.

It would be nice to see less fighting for power and more leading the country. I guess I'm naive.

Quote :
"Most people understand why we have 100 Senators, the formula having been clearly defined in the Constitution. But why do we have 435 House Representatives? Why not 434 or 436? Why not 400 or 500? Who determines how many Representatives we’re allowed and by what authority? And how did they arrive at this number?

As was intended by our nation’s Founding Fathers, from 1790 to 1910 the size of the House of Representatives was increased every ten years in order to keep up with the growing population of these united states. Since 1913 the size of our House of Representatives has remained constant at 435 (except for a temporary increase to 437 for four years).

The reason the size of the House has remained unchanged for over 90 years is quite simple. Increasing their number requires that the Representatives surrender some of their existing power, which runs entirely contrary to human nature. In short, we the people have failed to protect our democratic legacy.

The historical shift towards oligarchy was formally institutionalized in 1941 when Congress passed a law permanently fixing the number of House seats at 435. In doing so, the members of the House unconstitutionally arrogated to themselves a permanent and growing power base by unilaterally freezing the number of districts and thereby creating the most elite & powerful private club in the history of the planet (other than the Senate).

As a result, the average House district today is 22 times the Constitutional minimum of thirty-thousand. Thirty-thousand.org believes that this trend towards oligarchy — resulting from the natural tendency of those in power to become entrenched — has created a precarious situation for our great republic."

We should at least add 100 extra congressional districts.

I've done voter registration before. There is no way to check the validity of the registrations you collect. This probably wasn't malicious.
