the atmosphere is ELECTRIC there. i havnt seen a game @ecu on tv in ages and they are def the 2nd best crowd in nc by far.

their student section is loud but thats because everyone is drunk.

their alumni hardly ever make noise they just bitch and complain most of the time but are no where near 2nd loudest in the state. I'd say prolly Weak Forest with a close call between them and App, yes App has some incredibly insane fans.

^^^Completely agree, my girl goes to ECU, so I make it to about 1-2 games a year. I was there when they played Memphis (good game), but the fans are horrible. The only time they make any noise is 3rd down. The alumni don't even know what's going. The girls are usually there asking how their makeup looks. The guys are worried about how many kegs to get for their frat party. She'll even tell you that they aren't really loud there and she likes coming to NCSU games a lot better than going to ECU games

^but when you compare them to duke unc and wake who are never loud its a big difference.

^^ all of us, and our state legislature. ecu's been bitching about this for over almost two decades. they really, really want to be in the acc and they feel as if they're entitled to it. alot of them think they can compete.

hcngay, have you ever been to a wake home game? ever been to an App home game? really you have been to what, prolly NCSU and ECU because its easy to get a ticket to an ECU right..meaning there are empty seats right, meaning that they dont have a full crowd. Wait till this weekend, u will see what Wakes crowd travels well especially with their new found success...they are def. #2 in loudness and I hate to say it but when they have a good team and are doing well, especially playing us, even the Tarholes mayyyyy take or tie for #2

I WAS AT THE UNC MIAMI GAME-wasnt that loud

I WAS AT THE RIVERS WAKE GAME TO START THE YEAR-quiet as hell

NEVER BEEN TO AN APP GAME BUT THEY CANT POSSIBLY BE LOUDER THAN THE ATRIUM

all of those games were about the same as the ecu game i went to years ago. none was clearly louder. tonight ecu is loud and singing and it sounds really good on tv.

right now. ecu is the 2nd in the state. uncs crowd is terrible.

wake today was one of the worse crowds ive ever seen. i know it was drizzling but it only got loud when clemson made a big play.


this game is as loud as any non-sec game i've seen today

when's the last time ecu even had a bowl game? whens the last time they were nationally ranked?

they can dream all they want, they'll always be a second rate program in this state and will never be in the acc

at least duke and unc are good at basketball

they might have had a case for the ACC in the 90s, but they havent done shit since 2001, and i doubt theres room for improvement

There good enough to win a few games a year in the acc.... better than duke in my opinion. Basketball not really anything but baseball wise they could add to our conference.

My God you are dumb. Kidd-Brewer's capacity is like 17,000 but the last two years have been averaging like 25,000 and all of them are there to support ASU and they do it well. ASU hasn't lost a home game in like 19 games now...it is crazy how good they are there.

i was there today... i'm not sure what you mean by ''ELECTRIC''

IT was far from NC State atmosphere, but was a large step up from Wake Forest. Never been to UNC, so can't draw any comparisons

EZU actually looks pretty good, of course maybe UVA is jsut that god awful.

I was at the game & the atmosphere was ok. It was supposed to rain so it kept a lot of people away. I was never really into the game like I was for the WVU game. If you didn't get to see that game on espn2 that was an electric crowd. Best i've witnessed at ecu since the logan days. Last night was decent, I was dissapointed that it wasn't a sellout, but like i said the stupid ass wether men had been saying since thurs. that it was going to rain all day sat. never rained a drop in greenville.

Anyhow, anyone who believe that WF has a better crowd than ecu is a fool. have you been to a wf game? Did you watch the clemson wake game? The only time you heard anything on tv was when clemson did something good b/c the clemson fans showed up the wake fans. remember wake has to pump in crowd noise cause their fans pretty much suck, unlike their team who will be a strong challenge this coming weekend. should be a tight game that's for sure.

Also, who made this a thread about ecu wanting to be in the acc? I think right now they just want to be in the big east, they know they won't ever be in the acc.

Holtz has made a hell of a turnaround from a few years ago. If they can keep him ecu will be back to 90's form before too much longer. i predict they go back to a bowl this year.

Are you serious? Wake Forest fans don't even show up to their own stadium. Usually there are more opposing fans in the stadium than wake forest fans. I've been there the last 2 times we played them there and they have by far the worst stadium/fans in the ACC.

No idea how it sounded on TV, but that's usually a pretty bad indication of how the stadium really sounds.

Wake's fans were the loudest I've ever heard them through the first three quarters. The place was rocking. The wheels fell off the bandwagon at the beginning of the 4th, though.

Personally, I don't mind. We get better seats when no one cares.

I'm still laughing at the asshat who said that wake is a louder crowd than ECU. I'm not even saying that ecu is especially loud, but they're FAR better than wake.
