I have always been buying the same tire that came on my car. Dunlop SP 9000. Size: 215/45ZR17 But on tirerack.com they are 177.00 before shipping. I need to buy 2 new tires, but was wondering if there is something better/cheaper on the market. I have read several opinions on tirerack, but was wondering what you guys think. Also, these will go on my rear tires and the car is rear wheel drive. 10/8/2006 12:33:45 PM |

Wouldn't you want to put new tires on the front and rotate the front ones on the back? Or do you have staggered rims? 10/8/2006 4:48:03 PM |

you gotta remember your rear tires will wear out faster.
IMO, i would just find the least expensive 17 inch tire and throw them all the way around. 10/8/2006 4:52:15 PM |

Generally, I would agree with you guys, but I had a flat not too long ago. I had a full size spare in the trunk that had never been used. I bought one new (matching) tire, had it put on along with my spare (so I had two new tires on the car and two 1/2 tread) and I put the old tire (about 1/2 tread left) as the spare. Its time to change two tires. I do rotate them, but instead of buying 4 at a time I have been getting 2. 10/8/2006 9:38:55 PM |
