'06 didn't even improve on '05. In some ways it was a step backward (PC versions). I don't think I'll be getting '07.

On Amazon (PC version):

TW 2005 - $19.99
TW 2006 - $9.99
TW 2007 - $39.99

If you don't have any, buy '06 'cause it's cheap. If you have '05 you aren't missing anything so far.

Just found the review on ign:
http://pc.ign.com/articles/737/737795p1.html

I think I'll hold off until this hits the $5 bin.

I have 2006 for the 360....I thought it was an awesome game, but you have to complete like fucking 20 hours of mini-drills and shit like that to even participate on tour. It gets old after a while. I am gonna rent the new one when it comes out, but probably not buy it until after christmas.

I have been playing the PSP version for the past few weeks and I have to say it's worth it because a) I didn't pay anything for it, and b) they added the highlands back in. Supposedly on the 07 versions for Xbox and PS2 they added back the old style of putting, which I kinda prefer to this new version, although that may be because it's a ton easier.

I think Central Park was available on the console versions but not on the PC version for '06.

well, its not that you cant still unlock all that, theres just no cheat code to unlock it...youll either have to beat the game the way its meant to be played or buy the cheats. however, if they allow you to use that maxed out golfer that you can buy and use him online, then thats bullshit...you hope, just hope that ea is smarter than that.

i didnt think there were any cheat codes to boost your golfer in previous tiger games...thought you had to play your way up

i dont have any problem with what EA is offering

Jerseys and stadiums you have to pay for in Madden tho...

that is bullshit no matter how you slice it.

But EA's smart. Why make something free when people will pay for it?

yea those codes would take all of the fun out of tiger

it's all about developing your dude so you can beat the shit out of your friends with him

i would pay for it. I work 40 hours a week and don't have 4 hours a day to put into the game to get all the things unlocked.

It will be bizzare seeing a course I grew up 2 miles away from and drove by every day for the first 14 years of my life, in a video game. And btw, doesn't Tiger hate playing Pinehurst #2?

there still is battle golf...from ign's review...

Quote :
"There are tons of new Training Challenges which build player skill and luck. Ten mini-games - including a Long Drive Contest and Capture the Flag - are meant to bring the lightheartedness back to the edgier Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07. And the Tiger Challenge is all about playing and beating the man himself in a round to prove your mettle. There are also new tutorials, foursome and twosome contests (variations of Best Ball and Scramble formats), and a new structure to the PGA Tour Season Mode that integrates the FedEx Cup championship format.

The revamped online portion of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 is much more feature-rich than in Tiger games of past. There are online tournaments that are integrated into the Career Mode, Battle Golf and One Ball for those just looking to mess around."

can you upload a picture again in the 360 version? or do you just have to take the time to sit there and make the character look like you?

i think im messing this game up with tony hawk...it was tony hawk where you could upload your pic...so did you just sit there and take forever to create your guy? got anything to say about the game overall?

the game is fucking leaps and bounds better than last years version.

It really is hard, too. I used to shoot between 50-55 every time on xbox...

in my first 2 rounds with my created character I shot a 109 and a 105 on the second harderst setting

putting is really hard, but if it gets too difficult you have the option of turning the ideal put camera on.

any questions? i would be happy to answer

Are the single player modes the same?

'05 had legends and scenarios
'06 had the going back in time gimmick that was really nothing more than legends mixed with scenarios
